Princeton Alumni Association of Houston
Join Princeton Professor Sam Wang as he shares what he's learned about national and Texas elections with the Princeton Alumni Association of Houston and other Texas Tigers. This year, how long might we have to wait to find out the results to the Presidential election?
Understanding governing laws and current polls, we can get an idea of what we will know on the evening of November 3, Election Night. Could it be like Florida 2000, except more like Wisconsin/Michigan/Pennsylvania 2020? As the Princeton Gerrymandering Project and Princeton Election Consortium's "Redistricting Moneyball 2020" analysis shows, this year's Texas statehouse races may hold a disproportionate influence in the redistricting world. Interested parties may wish to pay particular attention to races in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. Victories there by anti-gerrymandering candidates would substantially help the cause of reform.
