Experience Bach's Mighty Fortress with the Mercury Chamber Orchestra

Join your fellow Tigers at this extraordinary concert, where you will immerse yourself in the enchanting world of J.S. Bach. The program includes a diverse range of Bach's masterpieces, from one of his earliest cantatas to the grandeur of "A Mighty Fortress is Our God." Bach's rendition of this timeless hymn, originally composed by Martin Luther during the Protestant Reformation, adds an extra layer of drama and beauty to the familiar melody.

To top off the evening, Mercury will present one of Bach's famous Orchestra Suites, featuring the iconic "Air on the G String." All of this will be performed on historical instruments meticulously chosen to faithfully recreate the sounds that the composer himself would have worked with, offering you a truly authentic Bach experience.
